Industry News

Effective July 1, 2006, the Georgia law was changed.  General Contractors are no longer required to withhold sales tax from a Georgia based subcontractor nor confirm the existence of a bond.  Georgia subcontractors are no longer required to file a Subcontractors Sales and Use Tax Bond.  The rules differ for out-of-state subcontractors.  To review the complete bill, please click the link below.
